Hi all.
I wrote in a separate post recently in the "suspension" section about relacing my front springs and dampers on my very late X100 XKR.
When I took the passenger side wheel arch liner off this chunk of foam rubber came off with it.
It seemed to have been wedged up between the top of the arch liner and the bottom of the inner wing.
Because I wasn't expecting it I didn't see precisely where it came from.
There wasn't one on the driver's side.
Does anybody know what it is for, and should there be one both sides?
Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.
Does anybody know what this is for?

No idea! Doesn’t look crucial maybe just some sound deadening?

It's a 'Foam Block' according to Barratt's catalogue. It's fitted only to the lefthand side, positioned as you surmised, but it's not clear (to me!) what its purpose is. I don't know if it was fitted to all years (Mine has one), but if it was, I bet a good few have disappeared by now.

Thank you. I forgot to put it back in but will do so now.
I have got a noise sounding a bit like air deflecting the arch liner / front lip. Increases with speed so I need to investigate anyway.
Thanks again.
