XK8 Front bumper beam

Hi. Anyone know how to remove the 2 front bumper beam bolts on 2003 xk8 convertible? Bolts just turn in what looks like washers on underside of beam .. many thanks. Roy

It sounds like the bolts have corroded onto the metal ferules which have broken away from the composite bumper brackets in which the ferules should be held. Try to unbolt the bumper brackets from the body so they come away with the bumper. Then, if successful, you should have better access to lubricate and extract the two difficult bolts before repairing the damage/replacing the bumper brackets and reassembling the whole thing with lots of copper grease or similar.
