2006 X150 bodywork corrosion

I've spotted a small area of bubbling paintwork on the lower front corner of the driver's door, approximately 50mm x 50mm. Can anyone advise on how this can be best treated?

Caught early, if you haven't the necessary bodywork repair skills, have it repaired professionally to keep the car looking at its best. A small repair shouldn't be expensive and done properly will last another decade plus. Left longer, the cost of repairs will escalate. A stitch in time... Mike.

In addition to the advice from Mike, ensure that your repairer (bodyshop) is familiar with the niceties of dealing with aluminium body panels and corrosion. If this is your first time dealing with an aluminium body, make sure you advise the repair shop that they are about to deal with an aluminium body shell and ensure they understand that point.
