Replacing bottom of rear wings on 2005 xkr-s.

I have corrosion round the bottoms of the rear wings of my 2005 XKR-S. David Marks gave me a quote using second hand panels (bottom parts only).I believe new parts can be obtained but have conflicting reports of quality.I live in Sheffield so it would be more convenient if anyone local could be recommended. Also I need the underside of the car cleaning of (hopefully) surface rust and treating. I want a proper job doing as I intend to keep the car for the foreseeable future and particularly as this limited edition model is now increasing in value.Any recommendations would be very welcome! ps had the car almost 11 years.Thank you!

Hi Paul,

Unfortunately, Jaguar does not supply rear wings for the XK8/R so the only alternatives are to use good second hand versions or pattern parts which, as you say, do vary in quality. JR Classics at Askern have undersealed a number of members' cars so might be worth checking out when you have completed the wing repairs. Mike.
