Postby david723 » Sun May 30, 2010 1:00 pm

Got this anoying, sounds like whistle coming from nearside, continues even when applying footbrake and also handbrake so those now eliminated. Sound not always present, tried throwing car around and driving hard but still intermittent?

Hi David ,
Could it be caused by wind noise :?: , try rubber seals etc, or is it more like a wheel bearing noise :?: if so it will quieten when you apply a lock in a certain direction  , can you be a bit more specific to where the noise is coming from ,

Hello Nik

Noise is now and then and never when i have a mate sit in and have a listen. Would say NS rear and sounds like a clutch release bearing or a wind whistle as you sugest. Never done it before, just had new rear shocks fitted and waxoyled. Considering having new rear bearings fitted :( pre Le Mans for peace of mind, if can be done in time? Car just had MOT so all in good order?
