Bonnet release latch override??

Hi, On my 2000 xk8, the left side bonnet release latch is not "releasing". I pull the bonnet release lever inside the car, and the right side releases, but the left side doesn't. First time I've had this problem. Is there a manual override that I can get to to open the bonnet? Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated!! Thanks, Jack.

Hi Jack, As you can see from the lack of response, your car's problem is not a common problem, thank goodness. Short of using a tin opener (no not really!) it's difficult to give sensible advice. Have you checked the bonnet (hood) release lever end of the cables to make sure everything is attached? If things are broken there it should be possible to grip the broken cable end and open the bonnet to effect a repair. Alternatively, if it's the bonnet end which has broken it will be extremely difficult to gain access without damaging the car. Mike.
