Condensor

Does anybody know of a good supplier of Jag. parts likely to stock a condensor for an XK8 (MJD7390AE). As mine is leaking I originally ordered from Jaguar, (until I discovered a 5 week waiting list), then British Part UK - "usually within 2 days", until I discovered a 5 week waiting list, and now considering America as the only option where I might be in time to enjoy some of our Summer.

I just had the condenser and dryer replaced by this guy

He's too far away to do yours I would think but he may be able to suggest where to get the parts, he came and tested my A/C at my home which was around £50 once he had diagnosed the problem he ordered in the parts, came and picked my car up leaving me with a courtesy car and returned the repaired car that evening came to around £580 about 30% of what Jaguar wanted just for the condenser

Depending on the age of your car Jaguar may not even be able to supply the correct condenser anyway, mine is a '98 and they will only supply the later unit and the pipework to convert the fitting

I think the updated pipework for the 2000-2002 model condenser is the only option now for a 97 XK8, but provided it works I don't mind if they use tin cans. Will post if I get any joy.

Nope, no joy eventually received a call from Jaguar customer services and they are sending a condensor (new model, so pipe job required) to my nearest jag. dealership. Can't wait to start driving again

I have also had my condenser replaced (02/02 XK8) by Aircare Automotive. Excellent job and very good price.
