Replacing Diff Oil

Has anyone had their rear diff oil changed by a garage. I have seen that the job is really not a DIY job. I'm looking for a garage that has done this procedure on various XK8 (X100) and know what they are doing. I am willing to travel if I can find the right garage.

I use David Marks in Nottingham (JEC Technical Advisor) for all my XK8 work, including changing the diff and gearbox oil. Highly recommended.
A bit of a hike for you, as it is for us, but we often stay over and explore Nottingham and the surrounding area.

Thanks Lucky, have been to and know David Marks. Went to have some work carried out last year and stayed over in Nottingham. Great place to visit and may well do this again. As our hotel was outside of Nottingham city centre we used the tram system which was fantastic.

Had major service carried out by my local franchised Jaguar dealer today. Asked them to replace diff oil. They didn’t do it! Told me there is no facility on the XK8 to replace the diff oil. Also, there is no instruction from Jaguar how to replace it. They said as there was is no instruction, it would be unnecessary to replace the oil. Anyone got any comments on this?

Yes, take your car to be serviced somewhere where they have a vague idea what they are doing. I would have the rear diff oil changed at least every 70K miles.
I refer to my previous post regarding David Marks.

John on To The Garage has done a video on this, essentially you drill a hole through the boot to access it, so perhaps no surprise the garage didn’t do it!

Doug,
It's a bit fiddly, but it is possible to access the plug if you're patient. Here's another suggestion of how to do it without drilling the boot floor:
