Hi Mike, you need to post a bit more information. What type of car is it, year of manufacture, coupe or convertible, etc. When did the problem start, what took place immediately before the problem occurred, was there any work carried out, etc. What functions have stopped, is it confined to one seat, or both?

Hi Jim
Thanks for getting back to me, my car is a XK. 150. 2009 convertible
We had been out to a party yesterday afternoon. My wife was driving home so she started to move the seat before she got in the car, I don’t know exactly what she did but she couldn’t get the back of the seat to move, she managed to drive home in s rather uncomfortable position, I’ve been to the car this morning, both seats are the same, they will move backwards and forwards but that’s about it I think the back of the seats will move a little but only further back, I have tried disconnecting the battery, but nothing has changed.
Cheers
Mike

Hi Mike.
The seat control modules are known to lose their rightful configuration.
Only the jaguar SDD software can correct this.
Here are a couple of threads from jaguarforums.com that gives more info on the subject.

You might have to take the car to a good indy garage that has the SDD tool or a main dealer to get it sorted.
Hope that helps a bit.
Good luck,take care.

I am also aware that if a seat encounters an obstruction it will stop to protect the motor. The fix for this is to move the seat as far as it will go and hold the button down for 2 seconds, this will reset it. However that doesn't sound the case as both seats are affected so I agree you probably need to get the seats recalibrated via a dealer or good independent jaguar garage.

Thank you for all your help, as you suggested I ended up taking it to an independent Jag specialist in Lincoln, very helpful and sorted me out in 45 mins, cleared all the faults and recalibrated , charged me £54 , very satisfied.
