LJE2600BB Security & Locking module

Found out that whilst parking my 2001 XKR convertible on my sloping drive water has been getting in the boot a result of which the module quoted is badly damaged and needs replacing. I have lost electric roof, central locking, fob use, auto petrol tank opener and alarm. Think that is bad news, no it gets worse. The module quoted is no longer available, to be frank it's as rare as rocking horse ????. Tried 24/7 spares Euro Jags, northeast jags and still searching. May have found one in America via EBay but waiting for a reply to my email to see if the fobs are with it because my jag man tells me that as its American without the fobs it will probably be useless. He also says that if the module packs in fully the car will not start!!! It appears I may soon have a car I cannot use?
This is my 8th jag having had 7 XJ6 over the years and I still have a 1996 x300 XJ6 as my main car so I am no stranger to Jags. I am very disappointed though that a 2001 car does not have availabity of spares for something that can actually stop the car from been used. Does anyone know a work around for this or am I destined to have a car I cannot use?

Good news got a module and car now back to normal, phew.
