Heated front screen

Postby charlock » Thu Jun 18, 2009 4:06 pm

Hi,

Only a few vertical strands are working. I'm guessing there's some dirty contacts somewhere (presuambly at the screen connections - top and bottom?). Any possibility of cleaning things up?

It doesn't sound too good! However, the screen is powered from two feeds, on the left and right hand sides. The connectors to the screen can be found under the bonnet beneath each of the plastic covers over the servo etc. You could start by checking that power is reaching each of them. Mike.

Been a while, but just to note that it was the screen at fault.

I replaced it before last winter and am enjoying the fruits again this winter. Very nice!

Have even put one in my 1964 Landy - at a lot less cost....!
