For those who've read about my electrics and it cutting out. Even total electric shutdown/failure. I'm pleased to inform you my problem has been traced and is sorted

It did it again on Sunday. I had to call out the AA. It was totally dead again.

I dropped it off at Bell Lane Auto's. My local none franchised Jaguar garage. Fortunately, on Monday the problem still persisted so he had something to search for.

If I've got this correct. He said there's a main power distribution box. There was a wire connector corroded through.
Up until now it must have been corroded but was just touching. Causing all my problems in the past.

He's put a new box in and cleaned all the connectors renewing the one corroded and sealing them.

In his words, it's sorted and won't happen again.

I've had it in different garages to try and trace the fault to no avail. This is the third time.

I'm guessing the previous owners spent a lot of money trying to have the fault traced, with out success.

I've just done everything that would cause it to stall or die the death before. It just purrs away naturally. I now have confidence in my lovely Cat.

Am I H A P P Y I'm celebrating.

The most satisfying solutions are always the simple ones (even if they can be difficult to diagnose!). Mike. :D

In an attempt to help others with the same problems that I've had.

Bell Lane Garage, none franchised Jaguar. Traced my fault to number 4 in the picture below.
I don't know how to get to it. Maybe other more knowledgeable guys can explain.
My cat just purrs now everything works normal. Like a real one

Thanks for posting that Ray - good for future reference.

4- power stud...hmmm... sounds strange. I thought from your earlier post it could be the box in the boot.

Wonder what lead them to that?!!?

Process of elimination I suppose.

I did think of that. I replaced the fuses in the batery compartment myself in case they were faulty, but no.

The prolem was allways it re-touching. So no fault to trace.

Update, still HAPPY  It takes some getting used to
