The high level brake light has failed. There does not seem to be any feed to it. The fuse is OK but and when I remove it and check acros the fuse connectors there is no circuit when other brake lights are on.

Any ideas please.

Thanks
Johnaj

Hi

I would suspect there must be a short loom from the light to either side of the rear car where it will join the rest of the loom. It would be worth looking for any join to confirm.

I dont "think" that the center brake light is independantly monitored for bulb failure, so like on most cars (BMW etc) it will just be paired up with NSR or OSR brake lamp.

I will take a look at the wiring diagram and report back.

David,
Thanks for the reply. The high level brake light is on a seperate circuit to the NSR and OSR lights and is fused seperstley. So far I have not found any brake in the wiring loom.

Is there a chance that all the bulbs have failed or has this been discounted by testing? From experience on other cars once one bank f bulbs go the others swiftly follow...dunno if it's practical to replace the bulbs but must be cheaper than buying a whole new unit. Would be good if standard bulbs could be changed to LEDs too :)

Hi Mark ,
Pretty sure that they are already LED's as standard  but as you say probably possible to pull the unit apart and fit new LED's ,

Hopefully Helpful ,
