soft top lock won't release

My roof lock won't release on my 1999 XKR convertible!
Watery and oily green fluid started leaking today from the security sensor in the console that contains the interior lights in the top centre of the windscreen. Since then the roof lock won't release. I assume the fluid comes from the lock mechanism.
Can anyone tell me how to release the lock and then to repair the lock mechanism or how to remove the trim to get at the lock?
Help, the weather has just got better and I want to put the roof down!

PS I've now found how to release the lock manually. Simply prise out the small round plastic plug in the trim above the driver's position and turn the mechanism with a large star socket. The cause of my leak is a burst high pressure hose at the connection entering the lock piston. The trim is removed by taking off the sun visors and then the trim can be prised off. There are then multiple small star headed screws to remove to release the plate holding the lock mechanism. The fun is now to get the hose connection repaired/recrimped!
