I thought it maybe my key fob. So I phoned my son to bring the other. After about half an hour It flicked itself on thro' the system check then I started it.
Got home and parked up tried to find the cause stopping and starting. It would start then stall, start then stall. Then for some reason it started and kept running.
Then I pressed the heater fan button it died. After a few minutes it started again. I switched the A/C on, no problem pressed the fan button it died totally no electrics. only a little on off light on the gear shift surround.
In the afternoon, it started again. Foolishly I opened the window to talk to my son. I switched the lights on and it died again totally with the window open. Luckily I have a cover.
I kept going out and trying for three or four hours just pressing the lock unlock buttons. Then it activated so I managed to close the window.
It started then died totally again.
I was up early so tied at 06:00 nothing. Then at 09:30 it lit up so I moved it out of park so that I could push it out of the way. Started it, it faulted and died but still was lit up. So started it again and it still runs like a real one.
I haven't been out in it, just washed, waxed and put it in the garage.
Something is shutting it down then after a while letting it fire up again.
I'm going to source an auto electrician. If anyone has any Ideas I can point him to, it would be very helpful.
I had a very similar problem last year. Had a new battery and crank' sensor fitted and it's been o/k for about five month. But it's at it again
