Battery breather pipe

I recently replaplaced my 99 XK8's battery - all fine, except that I don't know where the breather / drain pipe should exit! I cannot see an adjacent aperture or grommet to push it through. Any clues or does it dangle at the front of the battery? Um...

There is a large grommet with a small breather pipe sized hole behind where the battery sits i.e. towards the front of the car, near to and closer to the battery towards the offside, next to where the wiring loom goes through the boot floor. No it doesn't just dangle.

I'd forgotten all about this query! (Check the date..)
The said grommet is there - but sans hole! I guess it's been replaced with a blank at some time, so I'll run a 6mm drill through it and put a stop to the swinger!
