Message Centre Illumination

Hi Folks,
2008 XKR
the small back lit LCD panel that shows fuel level etc, located between the speedo and tacho, isn't bright enough to see very well.
Is it likely to be a fuse?
I can't seem to see it in the handbook ?

Assuming you have adjusted the rotary instrument illumination (knob on the panel to the right of the column) to maximum, you may have a potentially expensive issue. The illumination is provided by LEDs built into the instrument cluster. The LEDs are not available separately from Jaguar so replacing them would be a task for an electronics engineer. Mike.
