XK8 2005 Passenger seat occupancy airbag light

Hi All
Although I've been a member for some time, this is my first post on this forum so please forgive me if it's clumsy.
Help Please Anyone - SDD for airbag fault.
I am trying to source the repair kit GJE4563AB, which is now obsolete, or the equivalent used parts even if it means buying a whole seat.
The airbag light on my XK8 flashes initially and then goes solid, which I'm told is what it is supposed to do. The fault code B2291(29) which is apparently "Occupant Position Communications Fault" which suggests the pressure circuit or wiring is damaged.
Apparently this prevents the vehicle passing its MOT test.
If anyone could please help me source the necessary parts or even a working passenger seat then I would be most grateful.
Please help me to get my car back on the road.
It's only done 46,484 miles and the passenger's seat has almost never been sat in !
Thanks
Chris

B22919(29) should be indicative of a wiring/connection fault rather than a component failure, so spare parts or a seat exchange would not really be an initial fix for me, but may return later!

The wiring from the three Occupation sensors (Centre roof console, Passenger A and B pillars) go to the Occupancy Sensing Control Module attached to the lower A Pillar on the passenger side of the dashboard. That module is then connected to the Restraint Control Module, in the centre tunnel, under the centre armrest. (No need to remove the whole centre tunnel console - just the four screws of the hinged armrest.)

I would start by checking the connectors at those two modules - the 26 way yellow one on the OSCM and the 40 way black one on the RCM.

Bearing in mind that the RCM also fires airbags, it would be important to follow Jaguar's warnings:
BEFORE ANY AIR BAG/SRS SERVICE IS PERFORMED, AT LEAST ONE MINUTE MUST ELAPSE AFTER DISCONNECTION OF THE BATTERY POSITIVE CABLE TO ALLOW DISSIPATION OF BACK-UP POWER SUPPLY ENERGY.
NEVER PROBE THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS OF THE AIR BAG MODULES OR ANY OTHER SRS COMPONENT. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS INSTRUCTION MAY RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY.

Personally, I'd give it a bit longer than a minute to be sure!!

Let us know how you get on and if a different approach is required.

Favourite is any connectors or wiring that's underneath / around the seats --
that can get disturbed due to over enthusiastic valeting.
Yes, follow advise on battery disconnect too

I've just noticed a discrepancy between your thread title and the fault description that's ! The given code would appear to indicate it's the Occupancy Position Sensor part of the Advanced Restraint System circuit

Seat Occupancy is sensed by a pressure switch in the seat, but the code that you give is for Occupancy Position sensed by the three miniature speaker-like fittings in the A and B pillars and the centre roof console. Both affect, in their different roles, different situations when the passenger airbag should be prevented from firing.
