Additional wiring through bulkhead - where/how?

Postby John579 » Tue Jul 10, 2018 1:28 pm

Hi, I have a 1996 XK8 coupe, I am in the process of fitting front parking sensors + Day Lights, but I cannot see an electrical entry/grommet to use through the bulkhead, don’t really want to drill hole if I can help it - Any ideas?

Using an under-bonnet ignition powered feed would avoid the need to search for bulkhead holes although it would mean the front sensors would be permanently in use when the car is driven. Mike.

Thank you for the surgestion, I was thinking about that but it would be better to be able to switch off/on as required.
There must be a way!

Open this link and go to pages 16 and 17. While the instructions are for routing the wiring for an oil pressure gauge, the route will work just as well for your needs. It's the same for all model years.
