Drivers door window dropping and lifting even when door is closed.drivers door open message on dash when door is closed?? Reset windows but always goes up fully when I open door,so can’t close door without lifting the handle to make the window drop .hard to start in cold ,had battery check and was ok ,alternator or belt fault ????

What you describe may consist of more than one fault. Despite having had a battery check, my suspicions would lead me to beg, borrow or buy another new battery before going any further. XKs are incredibly voltage sensitive and even a battery which is easily capable of starting the car may generate false warning lights and other issues. Mike.

Fully agree with Mike, get a fully charged battery fitted first and then reset the window memory. If you still get the open door message then that would point to a failing “door ajar switch” situated in the door lock mechanism.
