Front Fog Light Glass

Can anyone tell me how to" easily" remove the drivers side front fog light the glass has somehow broken and it looks like a difficuly piece to remove, I can get a second hand light assembly easily
its a 1996 XK8. thanks

Removal of the fog lamps can be achieved via the access panels in the wheel arch liners although it gives better access if you take out the liner. Remove the panel (remove fastener & lift from the bottom). Then, disconnect the wiring connector and remove the three fixing bolts. The fog lamp can be withdrawn rearwards. Mike.

Mike thanks for the reply I wish it was that easy, after removing the wheel arch liner which is an easy job I find the three small bolts which hold the light in place are not seized but just turn around,there is no provision to hold the brass captivated inserts in the plastic part of the light
its turning into one of those nightmare tasks it looks like a bumper removal to then somehow
dremmel the captive brass inserts off to get to change the light,what a task.PS I have also tried the three bolts holding the bumper edge and they are also seizes solid.

I understand the problem. These 'modern' fixings can be a nightmare. After a few years in service, you need plenty of penetrating fluid and lots of patience to avoid wrenching them out of their plastic bases. I can only wish you luck extracting the remains! Mike.
