faulty door window

Hi I have XKR 2002 the driving side window will not operate it went down but will not work since
took it to my local garage they removed the door panel and said the motor was not working. I purchased a new one from Jaguar and fitted same but still not work. is there a fuse or door control
module that i have to check ,

Nothing's simple these days. There is a window control module located behind the door speaker and the circuits are fused (check all fuses) but the window controls also operate via the body processor module so you may need a diagnostics session to be confident of the precise failure. Mike.

Similar happened to me today. Window is stuck in up position. I can hear the switch clicking but does not move at all. Booked in for next weekend with my local specialist.

Hi all.

I had a driver door window stuck in the up position. After a lot of troubleshooting involving door motor, door control module, door latch and fuses, it turned out to be a bad ground connection in the round connector between door and chassis.
The connector is located between the door hinges, and opening it and spraying some electrical cleaner solved the problem.
