Wiring diagrams.

Good day to all,
Would anyone happen to know if it is possible to obtain wiring diagrams for a 2005 4.2L XK8. and if so, where from.
No particular problems at present but I would like to aquire a set just in case and also to famaliarise myself with the more complex items of the electrical system.

Wiring diagrams for Jaguars of modern vintage are very different from their forerunners of the eighties and earlier. If the diagrams were available in the earlier format, they would run to enough pages to fill a Haynes style manual! These days, it's necessary to buy a subscription to Jaguar's Topix system (https://topix.jaguar.jlrext.com/topix/v ... lookupForm) to gain access to the diagrams and other information. Subscriptions can be bought by model or brand and for differing periods of time. In theory, it would be possible to buy the shortest subscription (24 hours, the last time I looked) and spend that day photocopying whatever information you need but you could die of boredom before you finished! There are wiring diagrams on the JDHC Jaguar XK8 & XKR DVD

However, my copy only goes to 2003 (JHM1189 v1.1)

It's possible they've updated it. Give them a try

The Electrical Guides for 2003 & 2004 on the WEB site appear to be the same (with the exception to the front cover which for some reason has the same reference number!) All the data sheets are dated December 2002

The 2003 Electrical Guide on the JDHC Disc also has the same reference number
