Parking sensors

I am looking at fitting parking sensors before I have to spend the cost on a bump repair anyway.

Has anyone else had any fitted?

What are the best types ie four sensors in holes or number plate mounted sensors.

Is it worth having front sensors as well?

And finally is best to have them professionally fitted and set up or are they simple to fit?

Hi Bill ,
I have them retro fitted to the rear of mine , it's a straightforward DIY job , the front sensors are in my opinion worthwhile but a bit trickier to fit with regards to cable routes and wiring up ,
I'd go for after market kits , much cheaper than Jaguar but make sure you go for good quality ,

I have finally decided on the Meta number plate sensors from Halfords. It costs £99 which includes fitting at your home.

The system has been fitted earlier today and I am very pleased, very neat with no holes to be drilled.

I am now considering having the front number plate system fitted as well.

I have now had the front sensors fitted,I just ease forward until I get a continual beep an I know I am 18 inches away an d must stop. Now I can park with leaving large gaps of doubt. These number plate mounts mean no holes drilled, just a replacement backing plate which is part of the kit.
