Re: mirrors
Unfortunately, your description makes it sounds as if the internal plastic 'lock stops' have been damaged so the mirrors continue to travel until something else impedes their progress. If so, I have yet to hear of anyone with a permanently successful cure other than replacement.
Damage is easy to incur, typically by catching mirrors on garage door posts whilst reversing or similar mishaps. Mike.

Re: mirrors
I take it from your post Jaysto , it's both that are malfunctioningwhen i fold my mirrors in ,ok no problem ...flick the switch to un-fold them ,the mirrors fold out....then out again ...facing forwards ?????..any advice how to re-set please
A theory I have is to insert a resistor in the power supply to the mirrors to reduce the torque of the fold motors , might be worth a try
PM me , I may be able to help you further
All the best ,
Nik
