CD workshop manuals

Is there a CD available that provides service and maintenance info. for XK8's, rather like a Haynes workshop manual but with footage of what you are likely to experience?

Not sure, especially if you want it at ebay prices!

Best bet is speak to someone you know who has one...

Hi David ,
Don't know which is the latest version but Karl (Grand Tourer) is very knowledgable on various versions of JTIS' , give him a nudge and I'm sure he will be able to help  , mine being a 98.75 MY coupe seems to be covered on all JTIS versions , may be it's only an issue if you have a late XK8/R :? ,

Hope this helps ,

Nik

David,
the latest version I have seen and thoght I had installed is vers.21.
Let me explain:
I have various of these programs over the years, really just to see if there were new versions available.
I always thought I had installed vers.21 as this was the vers.no refered to in the installation instructions and program Readme file. However, once installed and you look at the About information accessed via the Help drop-down menu it states Version 14 and gives a date of Dec2002 (this is the one I have installed on my PC). However, it covers all Jaguar models to MY2003.

I have also seen another copy, which also refers to vers.21 in the documentation but on the actual program installation refers to Version 14 (August2002), but it also covers to MY2003.

It almost looks, as if new versions were issued but the info on the program About panel was not updated??? Odd this

Anyway, confusion or not, I think it is outstanding value for the few pounds it is usually offered on ebay.

Thanks for the reply Karl...

I had noticed the inconsistant version numbers, hence I asked!

I guess we are very lucky that the x100 is "old" enough to be covered by the CD version and we dont need the new online version, restricted to dealers.

As you say, top "value"...

David
