Servicing garage near Wolverhampton/Cannock?

Postby jec-email297 » Sun Jun 11, 2023 9:32 pm

Hi, My XK8 has been garaged and SORNed for a few years in a new place, and not had an MOT in that time so I'm looking for a specialist nearby that can do the work to service, change all the fluids and give it a very thorough inspection. The car is at WV6, so somewhere nearby would be good as I will be driving it there to get the MOT.

I've kept the car turning over now and again and done some work myself (changed the oil a few times, turned the engine over, changed the engine oil and rolled it out onto the drive occasionally. I've also resolved some electrical issues with the J gate, repalced an ABS sensor, and replaced a coil. So no problems I know of.

I would recommend CBR Classic Restorations in Cheslyn Hay wholeheartedly. They have carried out a lot of work on my car (XJ-S) and are really friendly. They spend a lot of time fixing bodge jobs from other facilities!

Andy Waters runs it - he is great.
