Hi guys, new to this forum but looking for som advice, just bought a 2011 XKR 5.0 supercharge but it doesn’t have a spare wheel, I take it you can’t fit a full size tyre because of different tyre sizes, but what about a emergency wheel & tyre plus car jack & brace, any ideas where to pickup a secondhand one?
Thanks.

Hi Jamie, you have this post / question in the wrong Section of the Bulletin Board. One of the super moderators will be along shortly to shift it to the Modern XK Section, which is where all questions relating to the X-100 and / or X-150 cars should be posted. For future information, your car is an X-150 model.
I will send you an email with information relating to an answer to this particular question you have raised.

Re: Spare wheel & toolkit
Shame no answers. The 5.0 cars dispensed with the red space saver which fitted to both the front and rear of the X150. I have yet to try either of the following. Fit a spare rear 20" wheel on the front to see if it can be used in an emergency or if it catches on the wing. (rears are easier and cheaper to come by) There is a question as to the red space saver, will it fit over the Alcon brakes?

Hi P700 DEE,
The question posed at the outset of this thread was answered, practically immediately, at the time by me emailing the questioner. Your question raises a completely different issue. The latest on space saver spare wheels for the X-150 can be found in the Forum, under wheels and tyres, but for ease, here is the link to take you there.

In regard to your option of acquiring a full size read road wheel to use as a spare on an X-150, the short answer is DO NOT go down that path as danger awaits. Similarly, you cannot use a red space saver over performance brakes, but only if you are talking about Jaguar specification space savers. In Jaguar speak, you need the black version.
If you want the chapter and verse on why not to use a full size road wheel as a spare, them send me a PM with your email and I will get back to you.
