Then drove it next day and same thing happened during sharp exceleration anyone got any clues it was fine before I took it off road many thanks
Re: Restricted performance
Hi John, advice on taking a car out of long term storage is to not touch any setting or make any hard acceleration manoeuvres until you have covered at least 10 miles / 16 kilometres of 'steady driving' to allow the car to relearn your driving style. This includes for things like not dropping the convertible roof, opening the windows, placing in Sport mode, etc.
Try using the car gently for a little while before trying the acceleration once more. If it still happens, have the fault codes read to see if anything is stored. Before all of that though, confirm that your battery is in good condition, not just fair condition, but good condition - ideally less than 5 years old and holding a full charge.

Re: Restricted performance
These cars do not like being parked up for winter. A common failing is of one or even both fuel pumps. Heavy acceleration demands the use of both pumps and if one is not working, the fuel mixture can be sufficiently weak to illuminate the orange dash lamp before more obvious misfiring and loss of power occurs. Consequently if the symptoms persist, checking the fuel pumps is a good place to start your investigation. Mike.
