All i have two key fobs and i was suffering range issues and intermittent operation i decided to open key fobs cleaned with cleaner and got the dirt and grundge of replaced the batteries with new ones noticed the buttons are well worn as you would expect for there ages as they are originals i am guessing. This did not improve the situation so sent one of to eBay company who i guess did the same thing it did work better for a while then has reverted back to intermittent operation . I have looked around and seen replacements are around 100-120 pounds often not new so could be buying into more trouble. Not 100% sure its the key fob any ideas anything else i can check ? Your help as always is very appreciated or if anyone has a good key fob they wish to sell that i can trust . Sty safe everyone

Hi there,
I have just in the last week purchased a fob from eBay for £35 and following the fairly widely available instructions re-programmed it to my 2001 XKR.
It was all very painless.

Of course I may have been lucky....
