Car Covers

I am keen to know what car cover on the market currently are people finding suitable for keeping the wet out. I always used the cover on my XJS for a number of years quiet a few of various prices. I appreciate the fact that condensation is always going to be an issue with a car outside. What are people finding to be better cover or do I just put up with the fact I am only going to keep 80% of the worst of the weather off. The car I want to cover is a XK8.

When I had an XK8 that lived outside (coupe), I used a cover that just covered the cabin and windows. This gave some protection to the cabin and window seals. It was light, small and therefore very easy to handle and store. Best of all, it kept the worst of the ice etc off the windows; so it vastly reduced the amount of time needed to de-frost the car. It prevented the worst of the weather. I sometimes still use it on my XJ8 and kick myself when I have forgotten and we have a frost.
There are a number of different manufacturers who have increasingly clever fabric combinations.

Car is now OK, but the episode was an eye opener.

Car port would be good - allowing lots of ventilation through, whilst keeping the worst of the weather off. Presumably a design that does not encourage birds to perch or nest inside would be the way to go.

I use a Carcoon, a bit expensive but doesn't touch the paintwork and 100% dry, its great for my use as its not a daily driver and anly used on sunny days and holidays.
