XKR badging and waves !

Whilst out on a mission yesterday I came up behind a silver XKR ...
On the rear end was the usual badge bottom right of boot, a "Jaguar" badge bottom left under tail light plus a "v8" badge on the left side of the boot lid roughly on line with tail light with a "4.0" on a matching level on right hand side of the lid.
Is there some special edition badged like that or have they just been added on a bling whim?

Anyway car looked great with private XKB reg plate and as I pulled alongside after following for a while, both passenger, driver and I waved and thumbed up !!! :D

Hi PTR,
I tried unsuccessfully to reply to your post earlier today but got that damned SQL error again!!!

Having just checked the Jaguar Classics web for parts there is no mention of those extra badges, so might be just bling.
Unless the special edition 'Silverstone' has them?

Anyhoo, when we had our XJ-S Cabriolet we often exchanged friendly waves with fellow Jaguar Enthusiasts and I had a couple of acknowledgments last year in the Daimler. Let's see what happens this year - soon be out for an airing when April arrives.
As you are well aware 'Motorcyclists do it with their hands'

Definitely a personal touch on the badging front. Thinking about motorcyclists 'doing it with their hands', does anyone remember the factory inspired bumper stickers supposedly banned at the time by John Egan (I think)? 'Jaguar drivers do it quicker. XJS drivers do it quickest but Daimler drivers employ a man to do it.' Mike.

Not wishing to hi jack PTR's thread, but I would like one of those stickers!
Yes, it must just be bling - did you consign your XK8 bling to the bin or did eBay make another 10% on the postage? Dick Turpin dangled on the end of a rope for less.
Back to stickers, I also like the one which reads 'Don't run your fingers over my car and I won't run my car over your fingers'
