Hi Guys
I've looked at the WEB sites you mention for the Paint & Trim Codes.
They originate in the USA & the paint codes are the same as the other US sites.
The Trim codes I found are NOT for the XK8/R range of vehicles.
Still trying to get definitive listings.
It would help if members would update their listing with the codes from the label on the passenger (UK spec) 'B' post. I suspect at least one on the entries to have the correct Code / Paint Colour. Only be members giving me all the details (assuming I don't get a definitive list) can I advise the member of his error!

The point I was making is that a lot of members do not know what colour their car is, all they know is the 'generic' colour printed on the V5. It gets worse when it comes to the interior colour the lighter shades are so similat to some & if you don't have the sales brochure how will you know!
This is what part of the Register is about.
Jaguar do not seem to have let the 'secret' of the codes out to the outside world.
Think about a few years into the future when you can only get the parts from non Jag sources & you need a small trim piece & the guy asks what colour you want? Is it Ivory, Magnolia, Cream etc. - some people have difficulty in seperating like shades.
Give me the codes & correct colours trim details & I'll break the code - leave it out of the Register entry & I'll never do it!

I doupt if your colour is Topaz in the USA as a lot of the colour names change. My Xk is Quartz, Grey on the V5 & mid green grey (or something similar - I cannot quite remember the exact colour) in the US.
I have a full set of colour names for the 'standard' colours used for the entire run of XK8/R but not the codes. The code for one of the red varients (XK8) is different to that of the XJ-S range! Maybe the shade is slightly different but they used the same name.
