DTC / OBD2 Scanner - XK8 1997

Hi all,

I've seen on various places recommendations for different scanners, however a common theme is the mention that the earlier British XK8s did not have the "up-to-date" OBD2 scanner like the early American versions / 1998< UK versions did.

Please can anyone recommend a tried and tested scanner that will work on my 1997 XK8?
