Running an XKR in France

Does anyone run an XKR (or 8 ) of the X100 variety and live in France?

I'm considering relocating my XKR from the UK to my house in south central France, but to do so legally will require registering it properly in the country. I expect this will be a bureaucratic nightmare in itself, but I'm more concerned about the lack of specialists to look after the car and would like to hear from anyone in the Club who manages this. I'm reasonably handy with a spanner, so can do my own servicing and light maintenance, but more in-depth work is probably beyond my abilities.

We certainly have had UK members with XK8/Rs living in France. Finding replacement headlamps has often been an issue for passing the Controle Technique. Finding a good specialist is probably best done by contacting the nearest French region directly for advice. Mike.
