Having attended the excellent XK8 Seminar in December 2008, I came away wondering why on earth I had paid almost £600.00 in 2003 to have one done on 92HOT. It seemed to me not to be beyond the capabilities of a 72 year old with 25 years experience as Maintenance Supervisor at Conoco, and a pit. 92 HOT having recently had its MOT & everything in order. I thought let’s give it a go. Google soon came up with www.growlerjaguarparts.com run by Kevan Hughes in Luton who had for sale amongst others a Service Kit JLM 20275 @ £40.00+ p&p vs. current Jaguar price of £175.69 (note although the service schedule calls for Fuel Filter to be changed the Service kits do not contain one) soon located one of those Genuine Jaguar boxed £8.00 inc P & P.
Poetic licence here Mike I decided I might as well pop out the injectors while I was at it & were they black now Concours.
Coils found to be in perfect condition which is more than could be said for the spark plugs which had only done 12,000 miles
Fuel filter located thanks to Mike & a member on Jaglovers who supplied the schematic
Found hidden behind heat shield nearside rear.
All though replaced last year FOC I thought I had better check

Total cost (including a plug spanner from Halfords) a mere £113.97. Another Google & a service kit for X300 @ £35.99 one is on order. I doubt if I shall attempt the injectors though.
