Remote key fob will not work!

Can anyne help?

My remote key fob has stopped working, niether key will work, I have replaced the batteries, and had the fob re-coded but it still will not work. It happened once for a few days, then cured itself, but now it hasn't worked for weeks. Opening the dor with the key and quickly putting the key in the ignition switch is also causing havoc with the window memory.

Please help, its driving me nuts!!!

Hi Alan,
If you have reprogrammed the key fob without success (to try it yourself, the instructions can be found elsewhere on the Forum by using the search function), the next step is to put the car on a diagnostic machine, either the Jaguar system or a Jaguar specialist with the Autologic system. It's possible that the fault is a wiring or an electronic module problem but without proper diagnostics, it's anyone's guess. Mike.
