I'm am NO Longer a member of the XKEC club, or should I say (MARK's Club) !!!!!!!

Welcome Derek!

I know what you mean re Mark's "club" - and as a former member of XKEC share similar views.

I think you will find most of your friends here, or over on MaxPerformanceCars.

For me, irrespective of how clubs are run, if they offer value, then I will continue to pay.

With the days of the "free internet", all traditional clubs really need to go the extra mile to attract paying members. There has to be more value from a club than just providing a forum to meet - members can meet anywhere... the Net is full of free car forums.

I think the JEC magazine itself is worth the fees for many, as it is such a professional publication.

Anyway - get the blood pressure back down, and park the memories.

Good advice from David. Let the past be the past and concentrate on enjoying our pride and joys in the here and now. Newby Hall is the next national JEC event. Let's have a fantastic turnout of XK8s and Rs to really show off these fantastic machines in both standard and modified forms. Mike. :D

Was I not 'crucified' some two years ago for saying similar things ? Mark complained to Mike Horlor and the post was deleted.
