Autumn Gael 2022

Many of you will have read of past Autumn Gael events in the JE magazine and I am slowly working through what might be possible for 2022. The format is for a 5-day / 4 night mini break with fellow Modern XK enthusiasts, with a mix of activities to suit most tastes. If you want to hear more about the plans as they develop, then drop me an email to modernxk@jecmodels.org.uk
My initial thinking for a 2022 Autumn Gael is to tag it as a follow-on event from the Jaguar Summer Festival, which will be at Newby Hall on Sunday the 14th of August 2022. This means that the Autumn Gael would be going for a check-in to our base hotel on Monday, the 15th of August 2022 and lasting through until check-out on Friday, the 19th of August 2022.
Initially the plan is for a 2-night stay in a Glasgow city centre hotel - easy to access and well placed to allow attendees to have a range of city based activities on Tuesday, the 16th of August. This would be followed by a move on Wednesday, the 17th of August to a second hotel, but this time based in the Perthshire hills to accommodate a different perspective on the activities. The switch to our second hotel would involve a scenic drive through the Scottish countryside, with sightseeing stopovers enroute.
