Here’s information about the Snowdon Safari run advertised in the magazine and how to reserve your place. Places will be limited so early booking is advised.
The autumn run will take place on Sunday 11 September. It will take us to the beautiful wilds of North Wales with its undulating roads and spectacular views across the Snowdonia National Park. In addition, our lunch stop will be the famous and unique Portmeirion Italian Village on the edge of the Traeth Bach tidal estuary.
The run will cover a total driving distance of 110 miles. The starting point is The Premier Inn - Wrexham North (A483) where we will assemble for briefing and coffee at 9.00am with a phased 'drive-off’ from 9.30am. The morning drive will take us through Corwen, Bala, Transfynd and on to the famous Portmeirion Italian Village. The village is a unique piece of architecture and was made world-famous by the cult 1960s TV Series 'The Prisoner'. (For further information see www.portmeirion-village.com). We have been granted special permission to photograph our vehicles in the Village setting.
The afternoon drive takes us through some of the most beautiful areas of the Snowdonia National Park. We will pass through Porthmadog, Beddqelert, Capel Curig, Betws-y-coed, Uanrwst and conclude at the Bodelwyddan Castle, close to the A55 at Abergele. En route there will be optional viewing stops for Snowdon and Swallow Falls.
The total cost of the Run is £26 per person. This covers coffee & biscuits at the Premier Inn Wrexham, entrance to Portmeirion Village and a formal two course lunch plus tea/coffee at the Castell Deudraeth, Portmeirion Village.

Although I am not a member of your forum I do enjoy reading about your road trips. The trip report in the recent magazine was brilliant. Both my wife and I enjoyed it well done.

Thanks Neil. Glad you enjoyed the story. Look out for more magazine contributions before long from a very amusing lady. A JEC membership is a family membership so no-one in a JEC household should hesitate to put pen to paper (or use a keyboard) as long as there is a Jaguar connection to the subject matter. We don't get enough variety of material for publication so I challenge any member to send in articles written with a different slant on Jaguar life! Mike.
