Exciting Spanish event

XK8s and XKs are wonderful long distance touring machines so what better way of enjoying our cars would there be than to drive them on Spain's largely traffic-free roads? Getting to Spain with a car is so much easier these days. There is the option of arriving by ferry from the UK south coast or extending the pleasures of driving by travelling all the way by road through France.
The JEC has a very active region in Spain noted for arranging some spectacular events and the next large Jaguar event there (the 'Big One') is planned for April 2017. It would be great to have a gathering of Forum XK8s and XKs meet up at the event and display together. Despite April 2017 still being some way off, a large number of members has already pre-registered for this event to be held in the flagship 5 star Parador at Leon. It's a wonderful location, yet especially attractive room rates have been negotiated for this event. In the likely event of the 'Big One' being oversubscribed, members who pre-register their interest (no deposit required to pre-register on the website) will be given preferential entry to this event. Even at this early stage if you are not entirely sure you will attend, pre-registration will help with the immense amount of planning that goes into organising these enjoyable activities. If it is of any interest there are 10 XK's from the North West of England booked on Brittany Ferries Wednesday 19th April Portsmouth to Bilbao with most returning Saturday 29th April Santander to Portsmouth.

If anyone wishes to join us you should benefit from a group discount (over 10 cars)on the ferry portion.

We are extending the "Big One 2017" before and after Leon, staying at Paradores in Argomaniz 2 nights, Corias 3 nights and Santillana del Mar 2 nights.
