First Jag

Hi
I have just joined the club and bought my first Jag. I have promised myself a Jag for a long time, always stopped myself due to costs. However I have now bought a 2000 XK8 which so far seems in very good condition. Looking forward to many days of happy touring and general use.

Hello Phil,
welcome to the JEC and all it has to offer. I'm sure you'll enjoy your jaguar as much as we all do. You don't say where you are but another useful tip you may like to think about is joining one of the regional JEC clubs. Should you be in the South Yorkshire area please give us a call or come along to one of our meetings nights where you will be made most welcome. Our details can be found in the Regions headings and we are listed as South Yorkshire Region.

Welcome !, like you I am on my first Jaguar! You are not alone!
As I am a newbie of just a couple weeks, or so, I have to say that the help I have received on here has been brilliant! You will probably need it too!

Welcome to the club and your first Jag, you will love it. After over two years bliss and a continual smile on my face I get the point of Jags. Just look after it and find a good local specialist to keep it fettled and you will be fine.

I have put a couple of photos up of my pride and joy, I hope. I particularly like the blue colour, not sure what it is??

Welcome to the XK8 BB
Your XK8 is a 2001MY & the colour could be either Pacific or Sapphire. It is difficult to separate from a photo. The window surrounds & bumper overriders etc. are Dorchester Grey.
Please take the time to register your XK on the Register. If you supply the Paint & Trim Codes (label on the passenger side 'B' post just under the lock striker) I'll update correct colour & let you know.
