My dream car - Blue Jag XK8 2002 4.2l

Postby jagmanvaughn » Sun Feb 10, 2013 12:45 am

I was lucky enough to purchase a dark blue xk8 with 20" bbs Detroit (see pics on xk8 register). I have to say that I've dreamt about owning this car since I was at school and now finally having one - it has exceeded my expectations. The noise from the engine, the smooth gear shift, the rapid acceleration, the magic carpet ride alongside the traditional jaguar wood leather combination just makes me feel so proud to own such a machine. I'm a real jag fan and think that this model is a leading example of the brand.

I'm looking forward to some of the events this year such as the xk8 drive in April and Newby Hall in June.I live and work in Leeds which is pretty good to get around the country, the xk8 is not my runabout though as I want to keep it in top condition.

My x300 v12 is currently sorn and needs new front suspension bushes, manifold weld and a set of tyres but I will keep as I can't justify selling it for the prices you get at the moment.

Hopefully meet some of you at an event in the near future and happy motoring in your xk's.

All the best

Welcome to the Forum. Please introduce yourself at one of our events. It's always good to put faces to names seen on the BB. Happy motoring! Mike. :)

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you have fulfilled your dream like so many of us. Mine is also a dark blue example (Pacific Blue for my MY), its given me nine years of absolute pleasure of owning and driving it.

Enjoy and keep smiling :D
