New member from Cornwall (and the North Sea!)

Hi all.
I'm a new member to the JEC, and own a low mileage 02 plate pacific blue XK8 Convertible which I love.
I've had her for two and a half years, and drive her whenever I can during my periods of leave - I work on an oil installation in the North Sea, doing a 2 weeks on and 3 weeks off rota.
Took part in the 2010 Entente Cordiale where I met one of your fellow members, who incidentally gave me a years membership to the JEC as a birthday present!
Recently took part in the XKEC Normandy tour, and I look forward to meeting some of you at future JEC events.

Mike Horlor and/or I will be attending Weston Park. If you’ve not been in the area before there are lots of interesting places to go with accommodation to suit all (as they say) close by.

John Brennand’s Hot Pot Runs are always popular with a number of attendees travelling some distance and therefore staying over at or near the meeting point of the ‘run’. The last run (Bakewell Tart) was oversubscribed and a 2nd run is being organised for the New Year.

Nigel Thorley has organised a Seminar for XK8/R (1996-2005) at the Jaguar Cars Visitors Centre, Birmingham on 10th March 2012. This is usually a popular (well attended) event and you should therefore book asap if you are interested in attending.
