xk 4.2 cd changer

just bought a 2003 xk8 and its a dream,every man should have one of these beasts before he meets his maker,got my first speeding ticket within they hour must be a record of some sort,any how a quick question ,there was a new radio/cd player put in when i got it because i had to put in the new jaguar code but the cd doesnt work ,in the boot the cassete will not eject and in the car the select button will not show on the display screen,it only shows mw/lw/fm i have looked in the manual and cannot see a trouble shoot for this problem ,can ony one help before i take it to the dealers

i will be picking up my first XK8 some time this week.( after MOT is done) a dream come true.(what's next on the list).

as for your CD problem, it sounds like there is no connection from the changer to the front unit. this may be due to lack of power to the changer. or just a dodgy connection. if the casset will not eject, the problem looks like it at the changer end.

i had a similar problem with my X-type CD changer. I checked all the connections unplugged and replugged then it work fine, it been fine there after.
