£148 FC? Blimey. Well done. Wish mine was that cheap
I searched for days on t'interweb for mine and thought I was doing well to find £520 FC with Esure. That's with 7 years NCB, for 2002 4.0litre XK8.
I tried everything to get it lower, even moneysavingexpert's "job tweaker" tool (type in your job title & it suggests some similar job titles that are still legit but have slightly lower premiums cos considered lower risk). No I am not stuntwoman!
Apparently civil servants are top of (or should that be bottomw of?) the insurance company league for low-risk occupations - followed by tax inspectors...
Short of a career change, it is worth looking into the cashback websites when your renewal comes up. It's often possible to get £45 credited back to you, which is the marketing budget companies like Esure allow for attracting new customers. Better off in your pocket than with the advertisers!
