Hi Im a proud owner of a 2000MY XKR Convertable but completely
non technical!! Recently when indicating left and braking the warning
"check your rear light appears " also when moving into reverse with
obvious foot on brake same warning appears. Rear lights and indicators
all work - anyone any ideas ? Jono from Rickmansworth.

Have you tried having someone press the brake pedal with the indicator on while you watch the rear lights?, a bad earth in this situation can cause the brake light to flash

I'm with Paul on this one. Try undoing and cleaning the earth wires (those simply bolted to the bodywork) in the boot. If you add a smear of petroleum jelly (not ordinary grease) to the mating faces before bolting them back together, it will help prolong the cure. Mike.

Have discovered n/s reversing light not working - tried new bulb
still not working .Would this be the cause of the" check rear lights "indicator when moving into reverse gear and braking whilst indicating left. ?? Jono

In my book, the problem still has all the hallmarks of a poor earth. Mike.
