Hello everyone - new to the forum

Hi, my name is Karl and I joined the forum about a month ago but this is my first post - on any forum - and I hope it works.
I bought my XK8, 2000MY, Pacific Blue just over 2 years ago and have not stopped smiling since. I have been a JEC member now for about 4 1/2 years, when I bought my first Jaguar (one of the first X-type 2.5 regularly on the road). I now use the XK8 on a daily basis and just enjoy driving it and learning about it.
I have made a few upgrades, ie NOKIA phone fitted (not into Jag0system) chrome boot plinth, chrome number plate surround and last summer at 59K miles, I also had the secondary tensioners replaced, purely as a precaution. Wishing to change the looks of the exhaust finishers, but NOT the exhaust sound, I changed the finishers to the latest larger bore types and it looks great now but is still 'quiet' particularly on long Continental motorway trips.
Next job - possibly upgrade of the rear light clusters to the later type.
Well, that's about it. I look forward to meeting some of you in future to compare notes in person.
Karl
