Navigation CD for Europe

Hi. I've had my 2004 XK 8 Convertible in glorious for a year now and am currently (in lockdown) in the Algarve, Portugal. When we are eventually able to drive through Spain and France to get back to Wiltshire I would like to make use of the Navigation System, which is currently for Great Britain and Ireland. Is there a CD available that covers Europe, or do I have to return to my hand held Garmin ?

Hi Lou,

There is a set of discs available for the onboard Satnav system in the Modern XK, however it will be now so far out of date as to be nigh on useless. Best to use the portable options, or even your phone - invest in a decent phone holder and lead and you will be set.

You could use your favourite internet search engine to check availability on some well known sites, but it will very much be a case of 'buyer beware'.

Very many thanks, Jim. I had sort of anticipated what the answer might be and your reply confirms it. I have a Huawei 30 Pro phone which appears to do everything but boil a kettle, so I'll stop playing with the Jaguar and try to get my 85 year old head around what the Huawei can do for me.

Can I recommend this phone holder, it just sits on your dash top.

I bought one, not really expecting it to work if I’m honest, but it is great. Best of all is you don’t get any marks on your car and it can just pop in glovebox when not needed.
