XK8 4.2S Converible Final Edition ?

Hi I have owned this car since 2011, Has been well looked after, kept in the garage, and is in excellent condition. 58k miles
Due to house move the car has only done less than 1000 miles over the last couple of years.
I am trying to identify if this is one of the Final Edition Models, Some of the details are as follows:-
Copper Black Metalic, Interior black leather, carbon fibre trim , door sill plates with checker-flag, bonnet badge white with checker flag.
split rim 20" alloys and Brembo brakes

PLEASE can anyone advise me if this care is a rare model, and how can I identify it as such

From your description, it does indeed sound like you own one of the run-out XK8 convertible models. These cars are not exceedingly rare (they number hundreds rather than thousands) but they were delivered with an enviable range of extras as standard which does make them more sought after than models just a few months older. The final VIN for the XK8/R range was A48684 (last digits). If you compare your car's VIN, it will give you an indication of how close to the end of production your car was assembled. The first 'S model was A45289. Mike.

Thank you for your prompt response. Most helpful to know as the vino does fall within the final production range.
This may help us decide on the cars future.
